In addition to collecting recipes and food histories from neighbors, Altadena Cooks aims to create spaces where community can come together around a shared table.

In collaboration with The Altadena Library, Direct Relief, World Central Kitchen, and 409 Woodbury, this project has been able to organize community events and distribute over 100 new, high quality kitchenware items to families who lost their home in the fire.

Altadena Cooks is endlessly appreciative for the myriad ways in which neighbors and friends continue to show up for one another.
